The most exotic component on this board is the red/green double color dot matrix module. As the LEDs are controlled via a matrix approach, it does not really matter whether you choose common cathode or common anode modules - both will work, you'll just have to specify that in the config file. I bought mine on ebay, and they are common anode types (although they were sold to me as common cathode types!).
